Frequently Asked Questions
Do you use cartoon graphics in your videos? We do not use the standard cartoons that many of our competitors use. We want to give you a quality representation of your wedding that speaks for itself, without 'cheesy' graphics. Do you use special effects in your videos? We use many film style effects in our videos, such as slow-motion, wide-screen, black and white and special filters. Do you use linear or non-linear editing equipment? We use state of the art, digital non-linear editing systems. Non-linear systems are better than linear because they allow the editors to do much more creatively. How many cameras will there be at my wedding? Depending on the package you select, there can be anywhere from 1 to 3 cameras at your wedding. please see entries for glide cam and iso cam. Do you use 2 or 3 chip cameras? all of our cameras are 3 chip cameras. this provides better color and resolution. How long will my video be? Your finished wedding video will be between 40 minutes to an hour. This is shorter than the average wedding video, but we want to keep it visually interesting to the viewer. Do I get a copy of my unedited footage? Yes. in fact, you get 2 copies. What if my camera man gets sick? Don't panic! We have a long list of back-up camera people that we have used countless times. How many copies of my video do I get? Three or more, depending on the package. additional copies may be purchased. When can I expect my video to be edited? Approximately 3-4 months from the time we receive all of the materials required to edit your video. Do I get any input in the editing process? Absolutely! Your editor will be in constant contact with you once the editing process has begun. What is a glide cam? A glidecam is used whenever the videographer needs to move quickly (i.e. photo session). it gives the illusion of a floating camera. feature films use this. many videographers do not. What is an iso cam? The isocam is a small, unmanned camera placed in the back of the church. it catches the ceremony from a different perspective and allows for extra coverage and cut-away shots. What is a boom Cam? A boom cam is an additional camera used during the ceremony that allows the videographer to go from a normal shot to a high up, wide shot with a beautiful sweeping motion. this is most commonly used as the bride walks down the aisle, to get a wide shot of her in her dress. Can I choose my own music? Yes! you can send us music from your own collection or choose from the catalog of popular music that we currently have. Do I have to send copies of my music? Yes, unless you choose from the music we already have. remember, the sooner you send your pictures, the sooner we begin to edit your video. Can I add honeymoon/dating/baby pictures? Yes.
